Experience

As a Bartender at The Head of Steam, I have developed strong customer service skills and the ability to thrive under pressure. I received extensive training on cocktail preparation as well as bar maintenance and hygiene. I also demonstrated effective time-management skills by working part-time while also being in full-time education. In my role here I was able to thrive under pressure, serving thousands of customers on match days due to the pubs' close proximity to Headingley Stadium.

After moving to Leeds for University, I began working as a Student Experience Ambassador for Leeds Beckett University helping to organise events for the University Residence Life Team as well as engaging with students and addressing potential concerns to help provide support and improve their experience. My role here helped to facilitate communication between students and accommodation services. I worked weekly events and assisted hundreds of students in different accommodations across the city.

As a Sales Assistant at Ginger’s Ice Cream Parlour, I provided excellent customer service and maintained the overall operations of the shop. I greeted and assisted customers with their orders, ensuring they had a positive experience. I also served ice cream, prepared coffee and other beverages, and handled both cash and card transactions. As a long-standing member of the team at Ginger’s Ice Cream Parlour, I took on additional responsibilities such as opening and closing the shop for the day, cashing up the till and performing standards checks on our specialist equipment.
